A few weeks ago, I participated in some business training. One of my favorite parts of these types of trainings are the Make-n-Takes. I have fallen in love with the Merriest Trees Bundle. There is a pretty neat little trick to this set that I’ll

Team Swap – Christmas Theme

Team Swap – Christmas Theme

Like much of the world, Stampin’ Up! is experiencing some issues with supplies. The good news is things are coming back into stock and sooner than forecaster. The bad news my goodies are not here yet for me to have completed a more detailed swap. While, I am a bit sad to not have all the goodies I have been waiting for. It did cause me to think, and use a go to “template” for my design and focus on what I had – PAPER! I used this template to create my swap.

TIP OF THE DAY: When you lose your mojo google a card template and use it for your inspiration. It’s completely okay to do that!

I wanted to create an “ornament” as a focal point and use the what little paper I had left from my pack of A Walk in the Forest Designer Series Paper. I started with a Balmy Blue cardstock standard card base cut at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored in half at 4 1/4″. The DSP layer are 1 1/2″ x 4 1/4″, 2″ x 4 3/4″ and 2″ x 3 3/4″. I created 3 mats in Pretty Peacock cardstock – 1 5/8″ x 4″, 2 1/8″ x 4 7/8″, and 2 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ and adhered the DSP to each of the mats. I adhered each of the layers directly to the card. The ornament is created by using the Deckled Circles dies and cut a tree out using the smallest tree from the Merriest Trees Bundle and brushed with Wink of Stella. To add a bit more dimension, I used a Blending Brush to add a bit of color to the edge and center of the Deckled Circle in Balmy Blue Ink and adhered with Dimensionals. I tied a bow using White 1/2″ Iridescent Ribbon and adhered it to the Deckled Circle using a Glue Dot.

Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper – Sending Loving Thoughts and Prayers

Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper – Sending Loving Thoughts and Prayers

In life, sometimes we need cards to say the tough things – like a card of sympathy. In trying to find the words of compfort for a friend, I found that the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper (DSP) will work perfectly to celebrate our loved

Dainty Flowers – The Best is yet to Come

Dainty Flowers – The Best is yet to Come

I have another beautiful card to share with you today using the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Dainty Delight coordinating stamp set. When I first saw this stamp set, I wasn’t sure that it was for me! But now that I have created with this set – love it! Here are a few of the other cards that I created with the Dainty Flowers DSP and Dainty Delight stamp set – you can click HERE and HERE to see those cards.

A tip for you is to use Thick Basic White or Thick Very Vanilla when using these colors as a card base. The card stock is a bit thicker and mails a bit better. I us a standard 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ card base folded in half. I adhered my 4″ x 5 1/4″ first layer of DSP directly to the card base with a label from the Scalloped Contours Dies.

I missed this beautiful paper in the catalog every time that I looked at it until I used it on this card! The textured Shimmer Paper is a must have! Its cut 1 1/2″ x 4″ and placed right over the label just below the middle of the card. Seriously add the Textured Shimmer Paper to your stash.

Stamp the flower image onto a 2 1/2″ x 3 7/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock in Memento ink and color. I used my Stylish Shapes Dies once again to cut a circle and stamped the sentiment in Memento Ink and adhered with a Dimensional. Of course it needed bling so I added a bow with White Baker’s Twine and added a few In Color Opal Rounds.

I could not wait to show you this card – specifically this piece of paper from from Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper (DSP). Our concept design artists were amazing when creating this sheet! I simply cut down the flower oval section of the paper to
