Favored Flowers meets Sending Support

Today, I paired two Sale-A-Bration items to create this card. The first is the Sending Support stamp set and the second is the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper. I created is card with the specific purpose of sending it to a friend to remind them it’s okay to not be okay. It’s something that I am learning right now in this very season of life.

I again used the amazing Basic White Memories & More Cards, using the small card and envelope. The DSP mat is cut to 4″ x 3″ and adhered to the card base. I die cut the label using the Something Fancy dies in Petal Pink. I took a scrap of the Fine Shimmer Paper (which I LOVE!!!) and cut it to 2 1/2″ x 3/4″ and snipped the end at an angel. The sentiment is also on a scrap piece of Basic White 2 1/2″ x 3/4″ and also snipped at an angle. (TIP – I keep strips of Basic White and Very Vanilla on hand that are 1/4″, 1/2″, 3/4″, 1″ just for sentiments). Booth of these strips are adhered directly to the label. I fussy cut (that means to just cut an image out) a flower and adhered it to my card with Dimensionals and added a little bling with the In Color Opal Rounds.

Pretty simple card with a big impact. Life has been pretty tough for me lately. Because I am a wife, daughter, mom, business owner, I often feel like I have to be okay – even when I am not. I have to be the one to keep it together and be strong. But what I am learning is that I don’t have to be okay, it’s okay to say I’m not okay and it’s important to share that message with others.
