Sneak Peak – Dainty Delight Thank You

Each month my team participates in a monthly swap for those who want to participate. My December swap card, I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and use a brand new bundle called Dainty Delight that will be available on January 5, 2023 with the new January to April 2023 mini catalog.

I worked with my friend April who is a professional organizer and owns April Creates Solutions. I highly recommend that you work with April if you live in the Seattle-Tacoma area! She understands our crafty needs. Okay, back to where I was going with getting out of my comfort zone. I am a paper crafting hoarder. I think most of us are. I have a bin that I store my scraps in and my bin is now full. I heard April in my head saying – do you really need more of these scraps and if so where do you plan to put them. So I used my scraps – only to be able to fill my bin again!

I begun the card by using Think Basic White card stocks it’s a 5.5″ by 8.5″ piece of paper scored at 4.25″. I used the second largest scalloped rectangle in the Scalloped Contour Dies. Here’s where I used up by scraps. I cut a piece of Basic White to fit inside the Scalloped Rectangle and used .25″ strips of Petal Pink, Fresh Freesia and Starry Sky which were adhered directly to the card base.

I stamped largest floral image on the left side at an angle stamping part of it off the rectangle in Memento Black Ink. I colored the image using Old Olive and Fresh Freesia blends. The sentiment is stamped in Starry Sky. To embellish the card I used linen thread and the new Enamel Dots Essentials.

This is a great card to create using – Paper, Ink and Stamps. That was another challenge for me – to use just the essentials – paper, ink and stamps! I don’t think I went to overboard by using the lien thread or enamel dots.
