Paper, Ink, Stamps – Taco Fiesta

Sorry for not sharing this past week, I have actually been out of state saying goodbye to my Grandmother, while I still have her physical body here on earth. The last few days have been full of emotion but also a renewal in my faith.

Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper – My Friend

Hi Friends! I hope that you have had a great week so far. This week, I have been showing you cards using the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper (DSP) a “Level 2” ($100) Sale-A-Bration (SAB) item. This is one of my most favorite packs of

Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper – Best Day Birthday Day

Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper – Best Day Birthday Day

Each month I have the opportunity to participate in a Team Swap with my stamping family across the United States. Decembers focus was cards using products from the January – May catalog or the January – February Sale-A-Bration. For this card – I combined products from both catalogs.

The images from the Best Day stamp set are so much fun to color! I have to admit – I am not great at alcohol coloring – but this kitty sure did make it easy and fun to color. I used several different color combinations while I was playing with this stamp. This turned out to be my favorite.

I used a piece of Petal Pink as my card base and stamped the confetti image several times in the upper right corner and lower left corner with Petal Pink ink. I used a 2 7/8″ x 4 1/8″ Basic White to mat a piece of 2 3/4″ x 4″ Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper (DSP). I also used a scrap pierce of Basic White to stamp the image in Memento Black Ink (it’s a must if you are going to color with alcohol markers) and to stamp the sentiment in Calypso Coral on a banner from the Stylish Shape Dies as well as cutting a second banner from Calypso Coral and cutting it in half to tuck behind the Basic White banner. Of course, no card is complete without a little bling – so I added a few Basic Rhinestones and a touch of Wink of Stella on the balloon.

You will love the Dandy Designs DSP as much as I do and it can be yours FREE as a $100 SAB level.

Day at the Farm DSP – Today is a Good Day

Day at the Farm – From all of Us

Day at the Farm – From all of Us

Hello there! In just a few days (January 5, 2023) you will be able to earn the Day at the Farm Designer Series Paper (DSP) FREE! The DSP has really great options not just for card making but for samplers or scrapbooking as well!

I volunteer with a leadership organization for young women called Job’s Daughters International. One of the local chapters I work with picked the theme “Jobie Farm” and this DSP and bundle really has made making cards and gifts for the young women so much fun!

At first glace this card looks like there are lots of pieces and would be very time consuming! But that’s simply not the case. I started with a Cherry Cobbler card base. I attached a piece of DSP that was 4″ x 5 1/4″ and another piece of DSP that is 1 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ at the lower portion of the card. Now it’s time to start all the details!

Using my Cut and Emboss Machine, I cut a Tailor made Tag in Kraft paper (if you don’t have craft paper Crumb Cake would work well too!), I took a piece of scrap Petal Pink for the pigs, Basic Black for the windmill, and on Basic White I stamped in Memento The barn and hale bale and in Smokey Slate I stamped the clouds. I lined up the dies for all of that plus the goose. And die cut it all at the same time!

I grabbed a handful of Stampin’ Blends to color the barn and hay bale: Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede, and So Saffron. Pumpkin Pie went onto the gooses nose and feet while the Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker created eyes for the pigs and goose.

I stamped the hill scene a few times on the bottom half of the tag in Crumb Cake and started to adhere all of my pieces on the tag. Some I attached flat while others I used dimensional to raise up.

I used Windowpane Ribbon and tied it with Crumb Cake twine in the tag and adhered it onto the card with dimensionals. I also stamped from all of us in Cherry Cobbler and tucked it under the tag and sniped off any over hang on the card.

Sale-A-Bration is almost here!

Sale-A-Bration is almost here!

As a Demonstrator, I have been playing with the new January – May catalog and January – February Sale-A-Bration (SAB) products since November 12th. That’s been a long time and an even longer time for you! This year there are a few changes to all

Looking ahead to January

Looking ahead to January

I’m looking ahead to 2023 – and this calendar page is a reminder that 2023 is just around the corner. While many make new years resolutions, it’s something that I simply do not do. I know that in a few weeks, I’ll forget about them

Cardz 4 Guyz – #311 Challenge and a Sneak Peak

Cardz 4 Guyz – #311 Challenge and a Sneak Peak

In the crafty world you may see the word C.A.S.E. – it’s really the highest compliment that a designer can get in my opinion. I based my design on a card that I created in a business training recently. Cardz 4 Guyz has a challenge this week – #311 Something Beginning with “O”. Do you know how crazy it is that I could not find a stamp set that started with “O”. I had lots of ideas spinning through my head, “Oh baby”, “Oh my”, “Ohlala” – but in the end I just could not settled on what I wanted to do.

So, I decided to give a sneak peak of two new products in the January – February 2023 Sale-A-Bration catalog. I used the Adorable Owls stamp set ($50 level) and the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper ($100 level) – both available while supplies last from January 5th to February 28th.

I’ve got a fun little tip for you – use vellum to tone down your pattern paper or to bring interest to your focal point. It’s a really easy trick and can be down but cutting it to a square or rectangle, die cutting or punching a shape like I did behind my adorable owl.
