I wish the Calypso Coral, Soft Suede, and Pool Party paper would have come out a little better in the picture. I am horrible about ordering Designer Series Paper (DSP) – I mean horrible. So, I often find myself creating my own DSP with embossing folders or stamps.
We made a few different designs of this card using the Patterned Occasions set out of the Sale-A-Bration set at our Graham class. I am sending this version off to Operation Write Home. Ken bought some index cards and wrote several notes on them for me to give the girls when they need a pick me up or did some special. I thought what a great card for our Military to send home to a child or adult when they did something special.

I’m excited to share my love of paper-crafting for a cause that is very close to my heart. At our Graham class we will begin to create an additional card to be donate to Operation Write Home (OWH). OWH provides handmade greeting cards to our military serving overseas to send home to loved ones. This non-profit is important to me on many levels and even more so now. Jackie made a card last night for a friend at school who fractured her leg. I have to say – I am not impressed with the color choice. blue and orange – ugh! I am a crimson and silver kind of girl 🙂 Blue and orange are Jackie’s school colors and the colors of our rival high school. It just kills me to dress her in blue and orange.
