What do you get someone who seems to already have everything? How about a set of cards? This set of cards and holder is so easy to make! Remember, me saying find you a good set of Designer Series Paper (DSP or patterned paper)? Well, …
I have several folks that are going to be getting a gift card this holiday season. I didn’t really need Christmas gift packaging – but more winter packaging. Directions: 1. Adhere the Snowflake Magic DSP base to the Lost Lagoon card stock base.2. Score the …
Wow, I can’t believe we are on Day 8 of the 12 Days of Christmas. Today’s card is one of the make-n-takes we created at my October craft retreat which focused on the Stars at Night bundle.
Start with a Night of Navy Cardstock card base which is 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″. I dry embossed a piece of Basic White that measures 5-1/4″ x 4″ and attached it to the card base. I cut two labels from the Stars at Night bundle in the O Holy Night DSP and attached it to the front of the card base. Over the labels I adhered a 1-1/2″ x 4″ piece of Shining Brightly DSP. I stamped a few leaves in Shaded Spruce and die cut them out to put behind the the Stylish Shapes circle that I added the sentiment by stamping in Real Red. I attached the circle with dimensionals. I added a little bit of bling by using Real Red Stampin’ Blends to color the Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels to add a bit of color and to give it a holly berry look.

Today I have a card for you that looks incredibly complicated – but I promise you it’s not! I am going to share two versions of the card with you – a stepped up version and a version that we did for my December class …
Attendees who attend my craft retreats get a “pillow gift” or daily attendance gift left at their seats each morning. At my October 2023 retreat we did a Christmas theme. I try to create a tag or packaging show additional ways to use the stamps or bundles we are using for the retreat. This tag was so easy to create and is easy to mass produce.
You can easily add a second tag without embossing it to write a message on it if you wanted to, add a little Wink of Stella to add a bit of sparkle, attach this tag to a card base to make a card. The options are so many! The best part honestly is that the stamps and dies are all apart of Merriest Trees Bundle.
What I love about today’s card is all of the texture! This card is really simple to make – textured cardstock, die cuts, embellishments, DSP – but no stamping! That’s right, there is no stamping on this card. Now, that’s not to say you can’t …
I have a fun card for you today! I don’t really know what you would call it. It’s not really a fun fold but it’s certainly not a standard card either. I started with a piece of Balmy Blue Cardstock cut to 11″ x 3-1/2″ …
Friday I went to visit the Assisted Living Center for our monthly card class. We made two Christmas cards. The cards that I create are cards that can be done by my avid crafters who attend or those with cognitive deficits. All of the cards can be stepped up and my avid crafters often do! This card was a simple card that we created since our other card was a bit more detailed for them.
One of the things that I will be doing (and I have started some now!) in the new year is to offer tutorials – you’ll get more information on a secret I’ve been keeping soon! Back to this card, the DSP is a retired DSP that I have been hoarding forever! I mean like years hoarding – because I love it so much. But, if I was going to share it with anybody, it would be my residents at the Senior Living. So part of what I am doing is creating templates to use – which gives me the perfect opportunity to use some of my beloved DSP.
This card is a great example of keeping it simple and can quickly mass produced. I used Very Vanilla Cardstock cut at 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and scored in half at the 4-1/4″. I then cut a piece of Real Red Cardstock to 4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ with the DSP cut to 4-1/4″ x 3″. I used the Labels Aglow Dies to cut the label shape and stamped the sentiment fromBrightest Glow stamp setin Garden Green Ink. We added a bow with a Mini Glue Dot in my favorite ribbon the Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon.
