Fun n’ Crafty Blog Hop

Fun n Crafty Blog Hop Badge

It’s been far to long since I participated in a card swap and wait for it….wait for it….a blog hop.  What is a blog hop you ask?  Well, its when a group of people create a project based on a specific set or topic, create a blog post about it and share links of the blogs to the other group members who participated in the hop.

Nine Fun n’ Crafty members created using new products from the 2018 – 2019 annual catalog.  I’ll share those projects at a later date.  I chose to create a project using the En Route Suite.  This suite really spoke to me.  Last year my youngest daughter was the State President for her girls only club Job’s Daughters.  Her theme was “Explore” – with a travel emphasis.  So I knew this set would come in handy in completing her year book.  This is the card I created.

I really love the new Blueberry Bushel its such a great blue!  Oh and that Mango Medley – what a fun color to use.  I’ll be honest, when I first saw it – I did not like it one bit.  But I’m really starting to fall in love.  I can’t forget the Grey Granite,  it’s a perfect shade of grey.  I used the layer squares to cut out two squares – its the same DSP page just flipped over.  I wrapped some linen thread around the mat before attaching it to the card base with Dimensionals.

I used this opportunity to create a gift box for a team member who recently promoted to the next leadership level.  Our mini pizza boxes are perfect for gift boxes.  Again, it was super easy to make just cut a piece a DSP just shy of 3 1/2″ by 3 1/2″ to cover the top and put a little piece inside.  The polkadot ribbon also makes the perfect belly band for our mini pizza boxes.

  • I love your mini pizza box as well as the card you made for the swap. I’ll confess I’m still on the fence about this suite, I feel like it’s more for scrapbooking. Your card makes me rethink that! Thanks…I think!

  • Love your card and your site!! I tend to travel alot so I really debated on whether to invest in this set or not. I love the versatility!
