We are all used to Throw Back Thursday (TBT). For this blog TBT has a new meaning. We going to throw back to retired product. Here is how it is going to work. We ALL have hoards of scrap paper, ribbon, retired Designer Series Paper (DSP), embellishments, and washi tape (don’t even pretended you don’t….I know you do too!). My goal with TBT is to highlight current stamp sets and dies – but use up some of my old scraps that I have hoarded.
During class we will only use current papers, ribbons, washi tapes, DSP, embellishments, etc. The idea behind this is to show you that with a few current items you can incorporate things you already have.
So, in this weeks TBT card – I’ve highlighted in a sneak peak from the 2016 Occasions Catalog that starts on January 5, 2016 the Party with Cake stamp set and Party Pop-Up Thinlits. I am so excited about the Party with Cake Stamp Set and Party Pop-Up Thinlits Die (Don’t forget to Bundle and Save 15%!) Who would not love this fun, pop-up card?
(Sorry, twine, DSP, (on outside of card) and washi tape (outside and inside of card) are retired and no longer available.)
Next week the Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration begins on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. If you have not received hard copies and haven’t sent me a request, email your address and I’ll send them out to you.

A week ago, I said that change was in the air and I was going to work hard to make this blog successful. Well, it’s been a week and I am still going strong. I even have posts set to publish during the week. Not going to lie, having two weeks off from school (the one I work at and the one I go to) have been a huge help in this undertaking.
I hope to post card inspiration at least 3 days a week – Hoping for Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Sunday will be reserved for faith based inspiration. I’ll also share the weekly deals and any other specials or fantastic news from Stampin’ Up! and things going on around the house.
Today, I hope to work on even more inspiration from the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Catalog which both start on January 5, 2016 as well as pulling from the Annual Catalog too. Also hoping for a trip to Chick-Fil-A 🙂
I had another post scheduled for today. However, I saw this picture popped up in my Facebook news feed this morning. It was posted by a childhood friend Misty. There was no message, just this image. So I type this post on my phone while sitting across from Ken while we eat breakfast before church. It’s the message I needed.
We all have seasons in life. Some are shorter, some are longer, some never seem to end. In this season of my life I feel like I can’t move, I’m frozen. I want to move – I want to run, but I can’t. I can not be moved.
God has a purpose for the season. He does not want me to move. He wants me to be firm, stay where I am at and fight. While others might have administrators or legal teams on their side. I have the Lord on mine.
So I will stand firmly planted in place knowing that my God, my Savior, my protector, my strength with stand firmly planted with me.
Oh gosh – the truth is – I’m horrible at doing Christmas cards. The great thing is Stampin’ Up! gives me all the tools I need to actually do my Christmas cards. Each month for $21 I get a complete box of goodness. It contains everything I need (expect for two things – paper snips and adhesive) for a complete and total crafting escape.
Today I am reminded of the gift God gave to us. He brought his son to this earth – to walk among men – to pay the ultimate price for me. His gift is far greater than any gift I can ever give. The gift of mercy, grace, salvation and unconditional love.
Thought I would share with you a few of our Christmas Cards for this year. The great thing about Stampin’ Up! is they make creating so easy! I just ordered the kit and stamp set – and poof – I had Christmas cards! It really was that easy.
When I first saw this set, I have to admit – I wasn’t a big fan. The set didn’t really speak to me. I’ve had a chance to play with it over the last few days – and it’s really growing on me! This is a perfect set to create a variety of cards: birthday, celebration, congratulations, or friendship.
You will be able to purchase the Balloon Celebrations Bundle on January 5, 2016 for 15% off!
