Fun n’ Crafty Swaps

Fun n’ Crafty Swaps

A few days ago I told you about a Fun n’ Crafty Team Card Swap that I participated in.  Today I wanted to share two cards with you that I received.  What I love about these cards is that the inside is stamped!  That’s right – stamping on the inside of the card…who would have thought it?

First up is a card made by my friend Heather using the Painted Harvest set to make this cute little lion.  How stinkin’ cute is it!

The next card is made by my friend Christine at Artful Musing using the Tropical Escape Suite.  I really feel like I should be back in Hawaii with this card.

August Cute Card Class

August Cute Card Class

We had so much fun at our August Cute Card Class.  We laughed, we ate, we created, and we laughed some more!  This month we had a small group – several people were out of town or not feeling well.  I am hoping to hold

Free shopping is the worst!

Free shopping is the worst!

Seriously FREE shopping is horrible, right?  I mean you have to figure out what you want, then you have to order it, then you have to wait for it to arrive – all for FREE!  Thank goodness for Bonus Days right?  Finally a reason to

Fun n’ Crafty Blog Hop

Fun n Crafty Blog Hop Badge

It’s been far to long since I participated in a card swap and wait for it….wait for it….a blog hop.  What is a blog hop you ask?  Well, its when a group of people create a project based on a specific set or topic, create a blog post about it and share links of the blogs to the other group members who participated in the hop.

Nine Fun n’ Crafty members created using new products from the 2018 – 2019 annual catalog.  I’ll share those projects at a later date.  I chose to create a project using the En Route Suite.  This suite really spoke to me.  Last year my youngest daughter was the State President for her girls only club Job’s Daughters.  Her theme was “Explore” – with a travel emphasis.  So I knew this set would come in handy in completing her year book.  This is the card I created.

I really love the new Blueberry Bushel its such a great blue!  Oh and that Mango Medley – what a fun color to use.  I’ll be honest, when I first saw it – I did not like it one bit.  But I’m really starting to fall in love.  I can’t forget the Grey Granite,  it’s a perfect shade of grey.  I used the layer squares to cut out two squares – its the same DSP page just flipped over.  I wrapped some linen thread around the mat before attaching it to the card base with Dimensionals.

I used this opportunity to create a gift box for a team member who recently promoted to the next leadership level.  Our mini pizza boxes are perfect for gift boxes.  Again, it was super easy to make just cut a piece a DSP just shy of 3 1/2″ by 3 1/2″ to cover the top and put a little piece inside.  The polkadot ribbon also makes the perfect belly band for our mini pizza boxes.

Wow – that’s a lot of hoarding!

Wow – that’s a lot of hoarding!

I spent the last two days photographing over 400 retired Stampin’ Up! items that I have been hoarding away.   I’ve created an album on my business Facebook page to shop from for my family, friends and customers.  There is also an album of miscellaneous

Wow….that’s a lot of kits

In my cleaning out the craft loft getting things ready for my BIG retired sale, I’m finding lots of cards kits that have just been laying around in boxes.  I spent a good part of yesterday and today putting all these kits together.  I’ve not got probably 150 cards if not more ready to go!  SO, if you know someone who could use a little cheer – let me know – I’ve got a card to send them.  Some kits I have no idea what I had made with them.  So, I think I will be adding them to the retired sale!  That means there will be kits of card bases and layers – all for a super sweet deal 🙂

Life, well it’s what happens.

I can’t believe I haven’t posted in seven months.  Literally , like seven months to the day.  It’s not that I haven’t wanted to or that I haven’t had projects to share.  Life seriously just has happened – and well family always comes first. Jackie
