Happy Birthday Sweet Shop

Happy Birthday Sweet Shop

I’m sorry for the delay in posting updates over the last week or so.  I spent the 14th – 16th in Olympia lobbying our Legislature for education on behalf of the Public School Employees of Washington.  We worked hard over the three day period –

Sharing the WORD

Sharing the WORD

Have you have sat in church or heard a song that really touched your spirit?  Sunday, we sang the song “Mighty to Save”.  My God is mighty to save.  Of all the lyrics in the song, my God is might to save are the words

Sneak Peak Stamp Camp – You’re My Type

Sneak Peak Stamp Camp – You’re My Type

As a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I receive a monthly magazine that’s full of creative ideas.  In this month’s issue, I saw the typewriter from the “You’re My Type” stamp set available in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The more I see this set, the more I fall in love with it.  It’s just so dang clever.

“You’re My Type” stamp set offers a bold typewriter stamp that can “roll” vintage or modern.  The sentiments are both charming and versatile for many occasions.  This is my spin on a card I CASED (copied or inspiration) from another demonstrator named Mary.

 TIPS:

  • Coverage can be tricky with a large solid stamp like the typewriter.  Use a Blender Pen and ink to touch up any areas where ink doesn’t transfer perfectly.  Layer a bit at a time as you fill in.
  • Each strip of Sweet Shop Specialty Designer Series Paper was cut to 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4″.
  • I used a Circle Scissor Plus and Glass Mat to create the large circles.  Whisper White diameter 3 1/4″.  Riding Hood Red diameter 3 1/2″.
  • Tie things up with Island Indigo Baker’s Twine (CONFESSION – I love baker’s twine).

Tool Tips – Punching on Scraps

You can use your scraps and still center your stamped image by simply using a Post-It-Note “handle,” thus enabling you to extend your reach as you punch.  Take scrap of card stock and stamp as desired. Attach a Post-It-Note to one end of scrap. Feed

A fresh start to 2012

A fresh start to 2012

Thank you for visiting my website and wanting to know more about me and my Stampin’ Up! business.  I signed up with Stampin’ Up! in 2006.  My first experience with Stampin’ Up! was when I told Traci a payroll special at my employer how cute the stamped projects were she had displayed.  She gave me her number and said I should call her.  I called Traci a few days later and held my own stamping workshop.  We made a few cards and had lots of laughs!  I was hooked and found my best friend.  I signed up to become a “consultant” that day, ONLY to purchase for myself.

I was commonly referred to as “the craft queen.”  I spent unreasonable amounts of money on stamps and paper.  As a mother of five I needed this outlet of creativity for myself – my “me” time!  So, no one in my home or school was surprised when I told them about my newest adventure.

What I began as a new stamping fetish quickly became a dream come true!  It became very apparent to me that I could do what I loved, tell everyone I met about what I loved, and I could make extra money while doing it!  Stampin’ Up! is such an incredible, creative, and innovative product, it sells itself!  My family and my friends have been a great asset to my business.

As the mother of five (three have flown the coop), grandmother, a junior high health clerk, a full-time college student, Stampin’ Up! creative coach,  swim and cheer mom, and a Girl Scout leader my life is very busy!  It is also very fulfilling.

I love my Stampin’ Up! “job” and am living my dreams!  I love being a creative coach to a personal team of 4 and part of a larger “upline” team.  I love that I can also call, email or send a note to a friend who understand me and supports me in my endeavors.  I would love to hear from you if you are interested in living your dreams~ Stampin’ Up! can make it happen!

I am very excited to see what this 2012 winter season brings as I watch Stampin’ Up! change lives forever!

If you are interested and want to be successful in a home-based business that allows you to make your own schedule, meet great people, make extra money, advance and be rewarded for your efforts please contact me!  I would love to have you on my team! I am here to help you succeed!

I would love to schedule creative time with you and your friends.  We can create cards, 3D projects, scrapbook pages, learn a new technique, the possibilities are endless.
