Magical Meadows – Fractured Card

I’ll be really honest – I have never made a “Fractured Card” before because I thought it was to complicated. Boy, was I wrong! The fractured card is so easy and it’s such a big impact.

MEASUREMENTS

  • Card Base: Moody Mauve 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, score and fold at 4 1/4″
  • Cardstock Layer: Basic Black 4” x 5 1/4”
  • Designer Series Paper Layer: 3 3/4” x 5”
  • Misc. Pieces: Moody Mauve scraps that are 1/4” wide
  • Sentiment Label: Basic White scrap for square
  • Cardstock Interior: Basic White 4” x 5-1/4”

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cut berry piece of DSP to 3 3/4” x 5”.
  2. On Basic White scrap piece stamp sentiment in Memento and die cut it using the Stylish Shapes square (3rd largest).
  3. Randomly stamp in 2nd or 3rd generation stamping a leaf in Moody Mauve over the stamped sentiment.
  4. Attach the square onto the DSP with Dimensionals.
  5. Adhere each Moody Mauve strip along the square.  Make sure you start at one of the edges of the square.  Trim off excess strip.
  6. Attach the card from to the Basic Black layer and then attach to the Moody Mauve card base.
  7. Attach the Basic White insert to the inside of the card and decorate as you wish.

I’d love to see what you create with this tutorial! Share it over on my Facebook Page for all of us to see and get inspired by. This is a great way to use all of that DSP (or Patterned Paper) that we love to hoard – I mean keep safe in our collection 🙂
