Day at the Farm DSP – Today is a Good Day
Today is a good day! It’s officially day two of Sale-A-Bration (SAB). This week I have been showing projects with the Day at the Farm DSP that you can earn for FREE with a $50 order (before tax and shipping). You can see another project from this week by clicking here. Today I wanted to show you a card – with very little stamping – and I mean very little stamping!
I started with a piece of Garden Green cut at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ folded in half. I will admit for me this next step was tricky and I am going to make this card a few more times to practice my paper piecing skills! I cut a piece of 3 3/4″ x 5″ DSP and adhered it to the card base. I then took another piece of DSP and cut along the hills making sure it measured 5″ in length and layered them on the first piece with dimensionals. Here’s what that looks like:
I sat down with my Cut and Emboss Machine and began to cut the animals and flowers from the DSP with the matching dies. Quick tip — I took about 10 minutes to just cut animals and flowers out of the the DSP and now I have a whole pile of images to use on future projects. I then adhered the images to the card both in front of and behind the hills with dimensionals.
Now, are you ready for this – here is the only stamping I did! I stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede on the smallest square from the Stylish Shapes dies – which by the way is my favorite set of dies right now!
