Day at the Farm – From all of Us

Hello there! In just a few days (January 5, 2023) you will be able to earn the Day at the Farm Designer Series Paper (DSP) FREE! The DSP has really great options not just for card making but for samplers or scrapbooking as well!

I volunteer with a leadership organization for young women called Job’s Daughters International. One of the local chapters I work with picked the theme “Jobie Farm” and this DSP and bundle really has made making cards and gifts for the young women so much fun!

At first glace this card looks like there are lots of pieces and would be very time consuming! But that’s simply not the case. I started with a Cherry Cobbler card base. I attached a piece of DSP that was 4″ x 5 1/4″ and another piece of DSP that is 1 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ at the lower portion of the card. Now it’s time to start all the details!

Using my Cut and Emboss Machine, I cut a Tailor made Tag in Kraft paper (if you don’t have craft paper Crumb Cake would work well too!), I took a piece of scrap Petal Pink for the pigs, Basic Black for the windmill, and on Basic White I stamped in Memento The barn and hale bale and in Smokey Slate I stamped the clouds. I lined up the dies for all of that plus the goose. And die cut it all at the same time!

I grabbed a handful of Stampin’ Blends to color the barn and hay bale: Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede, and So Saffron. Pumpkin Pie went onto the gooses nose and feet while the Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker created eyes for the pigs and goose.

I stamped the hill scene a few times on the bottom half of the tag in Crumb Cake and started to adhere all of my pieces on the tag. Some I attached flat while others I used dimensional to raise up.

I used Windowpane Ribbon and tied it with Crumb Cake twine in the tag and adhered it onto the card with dimensionals. I also stamped from all of us in Cherry Cobbler and tucked it under the tag and sniped off any over hang on the card.
