Forever Blossoms
Today I want to share card CASE’d from a card we made in November at OnStage. OnStage is the business conference for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. I wish I could find a picture of the original card – once I do, I’ll add it here. I can tell you, that I really felt like it could be so much more. So, this is what I did to step it up.
As you can see, I’ve really stepped out of m comfort zone and using more and more colored cardbases. Here’s my little tip on that – take your paper to a print shop and have them cut and score it for you! It has made all the difference in the world on how I use my cardstock.
The card has several layers – but they are simple layers to create! The cardbase is Petal Pink. The layers are Pool Party, Vellum, and Parisian Blooms Specialty Designer Series Paper. The Cherry Blossom is cut from the Cherry Blossoms dies that coordinate with the the Forever Blossoms stamps. I colored the Cherry Blossom with Petal Pink Dark and Light and Mint Macaroon Dark and Light Stampin’ Blends. I also added the Champagne rhinestones in the center of a few of the Cherry Blossoms. The sentiment was stamped in Basic Gray and punched out using the Label Me Fancy punch with Petal Pink 1/4″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon. I did use dimensionals to add to dimension to the Cherry Blossom and the sentiment.
