Sale-A-Bration Spotlight – Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper

Sale-A-Bration Spotlight – Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper

I have to tell you how much I love pairing a good stamp set/die and DSP together. When the April to January Mini Catalog came out, the Everyday Details Bundle was the first on my list. These dies are amazing and will be a staple

I am continuing with the Softly Stippled DSP today. You can the first card using the Softly Stippled DSP HERE. I have two versions of today’s card, which actually uses very little of the Softly Stippled DSP but does highlight the Stippled Roses bundle with

Sale-A-Bration Spotlight – Softly Stippled 12″ x 12″ DSP

Sale-A-Bration Spotlight – Softly Stippled 12″ x 12″ DSP

This week I am going to highlight the Softly Stippled 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. This was a bit challenging because I wanted to highlight the paper on this project. So, I started with the two sides that I just didn’t like. I know right, basing a project around a product you don’t like. Well, that’s what I needed to do to get my mojo going.

The Softly Stippled DSP coordinates perfectly with the Stippled Roses bundle. Remember that with a minimum $50 order (prior to shipping and tax) you can qualify for a FREE Sale-A-Bration item and guess what? Softly Stippled DSP is a $50 level FREE SAB item!

I created two cards with the same layout. Both cards are pretty clean and simple and a great layout to use to mass produce cards. Here’s my tip – I knew that the DSP was pretty loud or just not really please to the eye in my humble opinion (I know I am sure someone out there likes these prints!). So I used a piece of Vellum to really soften the look of the paper!

My first card is a simple congratulations card using a piece of the DSP that I just wasn’t sure about. I don’t know if it’s the pattern or the color combination of Calypso Coral, Wild Wheat and Pebbled Path.

Measurements

  • 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Calypso Coral Cardstock (scored in half at 4-1/4″)
  • 3-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ Pebbled Path Cardstock
  • 2-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper
  • 3″ x 4-1/4″ Vellum
  • two scraps of Basic White

My second card is the exactly same layout and using the same coordinating products – just stepped up a bit.

Measurements

  • 5-1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Pebbled Path Cardstock (scored in half at 4-1/4″)
  • 1″ x 5-1/2″ Designer Series Paper (cut two pieces)
  • 2-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ Designer Series Paper
  • 3-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ Lost Lagoon Cardstock
  • 3″ x 4-1/4″ Vellum

I stamped the small rose in Memento Ink and die cut it out. I then colored the image with Lost Lagoon and Old Olive Blends. Here’s my tip when coloring die cut pieces. I **ALWAYS** stamp the image and die it out first before coloring! I don’t know how many times, I have colored the image and then went to die cut it the die shifted and ruined everything I had just done.

Wow, is all I can say about he Softly Sophisticated SAB bundle! It’s just so sophisticated and will be highlighted this week. You can see Mondays card HERE. Today’s card has a super fun technique that adds a lot of wow impact to the card

Sale-A-Bration Spotlight – Softly Sophisticated

Sale-A-Bration Spotlight – Softly Sophisticated

It’s the most wonderful time of year! Sale-A-Bration is underway. Why do I love SAB, because we get to select free product from the SAB catalog. It’s easy to earn. You earn a reward for every $50 (before tax and shipping) and it’s accumulative. If you spend $50 you get to chose a $50 item, if you spend $100 you get to choose two $50 items or one $100 item and so on!

Each week over the next eight weeks will focus on a Sale-A-Bration item. I will pair with with coordinating product from the 2023 -2024 Annual Catalog and the January to April Mini Catalog (spring catalog). An important thing to remember is that all Sale-A-Bration items are while supplies last! So if you see something you love, it’s best to earn it sooner rather than later.

Something else to keep in mind. This year I will be holding a SAB Celebration party for my customers on March 9! This is an exclusive invitation only event. There are two ways to be invited:

  • 1. Spend $150 (before tax and shipping) during SAB (January 4 – February 29, 2024) or
  • 2. Join my team, The Blessed Stampers

The exclusive event is FREE to all who qualify! We have a few games of bingo, Make-n-Takes and prizes! I hope you will be able to join me for my first ever SAB Celebration.

This week, we are highlighting the Softly Sophisticated bundle – $100 level item. I am in love and I mean love the Sophisticated Embossing Folder. There’s just something so elegant (hahaha, guess that’s why they call it “sophisticated”) about the folder. Today’s card, is a very simple, easy to mass produce – elegant card. With this layout you can create a variety of cards – thinking of you, birthday, sympathy, get well – it’s very versatile.

Measurements

  • 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Crumb Cake Cardstock (scored in half for card base)
  • 4″ x 5-1/4″ Crumb Cake Cardstock (emboss with Softly Sophisticated folder)
  • 4″ x 3-1/4″ Softly Stippled DSP (distressed leave and flower print)

12 Days of Christmas – Day 11

12 Days of Christmas – Day 11

Today highlights another Christmas card that was made at my fall retreat. Everyone was amazed at how easy it was to use the patchwork die and loved that they were able to make two cards!

  1. Die cut the patchwork twice, once out of DSP and again out of Night of Navy. Using the Night of Navy frame, place the pieces, alternating between the cardstock and DSP as shown. Glue the pieces to the Very Vanilla base. Remove the frame and glue the completed patchwork to the Gold foil mat. Adhere the piece to the front using Dimensionals.
  2. Stamp the sentiment at the bottom of the card base using Night of Navy ink.
  3. Emboss and die cut (at the same time) the largest star from gold foil. Die cut the skinny star from Night of Navy cardstock. Adhere the skinny star to the gold foil star using glue. Adhere the gold foil star to the patchwork using Dimensionals.
  4. Add a star trinket to the skinny star.
  5. Adhere the Very Vanilla insert to the Night of Navy and add the DSP strip. Glue that inside the card.
