I have to say when I saw that Cool Treats was carrying over from the 2017 Occasions Catalog to the 2017 – 2018 Annual Catalog, I was very excited! I really think this is a great all occasions set. It’s perfect for a little pick me up card, birthday card, or thinking of you card for either a boy or a girl. Hmm, thinking I just may need to sit down and create a few designs with Cool Treats to remind me that spring is coming (maybe) to the Pacific Northwest.
One of the things we do while we are at any Stampin’ Up! event is to have hands on time with new product. This allows us the opportunity to learn about the features and benefits of the product.
One of the new product suites being introduced in the 2017 – 2018 annual catalog is the Daisy Delight Suite. I just love the Faceted Gems and 1/4′ Double-Stitched Ribbon. I wish you could see more of it in the card. But, I love how it just adds a great little accent to the card.
After I stamped the daisy image on Whisper White Cardstock I punched two of them out with the Daisy Punch. I offset them and adheared them with Stampin’ Dimensionals and placed a Clear Faceted Gem in the center. Lastly, I curled the top layer of the daisy just to give it a bit of dimension.
It’s just a bit longer before you can order this suite – we have to wait until June 1st.
I have to admit that when Dragonfly Dreams first came out, I was not a fan. However, after seeing a few samples made with Dragonfly Dreams, I became a fan and it has become my go to set in recent months. It is such an amazing set that I received lots of swaps made with Dragonfly Dreams. I was excited to see that it would be available in the 2017 – 2018 Annual Catalog.
I just can’t get enough of the Color Theory suite. I was honored to be asked to share this suite with the OnStage Shreveport attendees. I really pushed me out of my comfort zone – but so glad I was pushed. The great thing about Stampin’ Up! is that it allows you to be the person you want to be. Whether that is creating at home for yourself, creating for others, or creating with others. Although I was super nervous, I am so glad that I had my Stampin’ Up! family with me to share this incredible honor with.
These are the last of my projects that I shared with the OnStage Attendees.
This was probably one of my favorite projects that I created. I plan to use these bags in my business. However, this would make a super cute package for a gift card, cookies, candies, or small gift. Instead of using the spring/summer flowers you could change them to the fall leaves or winter snow flakes as the seasons change.
To show an alternative use with our memory keeping cards, I created two notecards. Our notecards are my go to cards in a pinch. They come in a pack of 20 and include envelopes! How great is that?
I love the bold sentiments of Colorful Seasons stamp set. With this next card which I think is my second favorite card I presented I used a masking technique to get the circle behind the sentiment. I’ll share a tutorial about that later.
Lastly OnStage attendees across the World created this Make n Take which I shared tips and tricks on. It highlighted the Colorful Seasons stamp set, 3/8″ Mini Chevron Ribbon and our new memory keeping cards.
One of the best parts of any Stampin’ Up! event is to swap cards with other talented Demonstrators. I have hundreds of swaps to go through and share. My goal is to share each and every one of them – which now that I say that – it sounds like a very big undertaking.
Today I’d like to highlight a few cards made from the Beautiful You stamp set. Good news that set will continued to be featured in the 2017-2018 annual catalog which you can shop from beginning June 1, 2017.
I wanted to share a few more photos of some of the display samples I created using the Color Theory suite. I just can’t say enough about the Stampin’ Up! Staff, other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators and my team who lifted me up when I needed it the most for my presentation! What a blessing they are.
Color Theory really does offer something for everyone. From the two step imagery, edgelits, intricate thinlits, bold sentiments. I can see how easily this is going to be my new favorite.
You may have remembered me posting about a top secret box that I got full of goodies for OnStage Local in Shreveport. For the past few weeks I was creating projects to share live OnStage. It’s finally time that I can share this projects with you! I’ll post a few a day over the next few days.
I was asked to present a brand new suite called Color Theory. You will be able to find it on page 146 and 147 of the 2017 – 2018 Annual Catalog. This suite is so versatile! It contains imagery for all four seasons. This suite is perfect for beginning to experienced crafters.
You’ll be able to purchase these products beginning June 1st when the 2017 – 2018 catalog goes live.
I’ve been away the past week spending time with family and attending OnStage Local. It was such an amazing experience to spend time with my Tribe. Three of them travel from Washington to join me in Shreveport! It was so amazing to have them along with two Texas team members for an amazing girls weekend.
Over the next few days, I’ll share photos of samples from the brand new 2017-2018 Annual Catalog that begins on June 1st.
I was asked to present a new product suite – I can’t show you my pictures yet – but let’s just say how humbling it was to share the stage with some AMAZING presenters! When I grow up I want to be just like them!
Here’s a few pictures of the last few days – promise more to come with the gag order is lifted 🙂
I also got to do some shopping at my favorite store Tyler Consignment Warehouse. My poor Prince gave me explicit instructions to stay out of the store – but there was just NO way I could do that! I did pick him up some goodies while I was there 🙂 I got to eat at some of my favorite places too. Let’s me honest sometimes trips are more about the food.
