All crafters want a sneak peak into other crafters spaces. I am in the process of reworking my studio to make it more functional for classes, open crafting time and well lets be honest just for myself!
I love to use embossing folders – it gives such a great look and adds such a wow factor to my projects. My embossing folders are not store in any special way.
I do use my super handy personal labeler (it’s so old!) and add the name of the folder on the front of the embossing folder. I do this one for me – it let’s me flip through quickly to find a specific name. I will admit they are not perfectly alphabetized, but close.
You might notice a little yellow dot on some of the folders. Really, its for me. It’s a quick way that I document when a folder, punch, die or stamp set is retired.
Lots of swaps were made for OnStage with the Beautiful You stamp set. For that, I am grateful. I don’t own this stamp set yet 🙂 After seeing all the beautiful swaps made with it, I have to admit Beautiful You is on my wishlist. I am sharing these swaps with you in the hopes that you will C.A.S.E. (Copy And Share Everything) these ideas. That they will give you a starting point to unleash your creativity! The greatest honor a Demonstrator can receive is to see their work recreated.
Just wanted to do a quick check-in and share two cards made with Birthday Blooms. What I love about these two cards is that you really have to look twice to see that they are booth created with Birthday Blooms.
One of the best sets in the annual catalog and thankful carrying over to the 2017 – 2018 Annual Catalog is the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set. I don’t use the bumblebee nearly enough. After receiving several of the swaps using the bumblebee in the Dragonfly Dreams, I am going to have to start using that cute little guy.
I have to admit that when Dragonfly Dreams first came out, I was not a fan. However, after seeing a few samples made with Dragonfly Dreams, I became a fan and it has become my go to set in recent months. It is such an amazing set that I received lots of swaps made with Dragonfly Dreams. I was excited to see that it would be available in the 2017 – 2018 Annual Catalog.
I just can’t get enough of the Color Theory suite. I was honored to be asked to share this suite with the OnStage Shreveport attendees. I really pushed me out of my comfort zone – but so glad I was pushed. The great thing about Stampin’ Up! is that it allows you to be the person you want to be. Whether that is creating at home for yourself, creating for others, or creating with others. Although I was super nervous, I am so glad that I had my Stampin’ Up! family with me to share this incredible honor with.
These are the last of my projects that I shared with the OnStage Attendees.
This was probably one of my favorite projects that I created. I plan to use these bags in my business. However, this would make a super cute package for a gift card, cookies, candies, or small gift. Instead of using the spring/summer flowers you could change them to the fall leaves or winter snow flakes as the seasons change.
To show an alternative use with our memory keeping cards, I created two notecards. Our notecards are my go to cards in a pinch. They come in a pack of 20 and include envelopes! How great is that?
I love the bold sentiments of Colorful Seasons stamp set. With this next card which I think is my second favorite card I presented I used a masking technique to get the circle behind the sentiment. I’ll share a tutorial about that later.
Lastly OnStage attendees across the World created this Make n Take which I shared tips and tricks on. It highlighted the Colorful Seasons stamp set, 3/8″ Mini Chevron Ribbon and our new memory keeping cards.
One of the best parts of any Stampin’ Up! event is to swap cards with other talented Demonstrators. I have hundreds of swaps to go through and share. My goal is to share each and every one of them – which now that I say that – it sounds like a very big undertaking.
Today I’d like to highlight a few cards made from the Beautiful You stamp set. Good news that set will continued to be featured in the 2017-2018 annual catalog which you can shop from beginning June 1, 2017.
I’m in Vancouver, British Columbia this weekend for OnStage Local. Tonight is the first organized swap I have ever participated in. I’m actually participating in TWO! I have not idea what I was thinking when I signed up for them. I was still frantically working on the swaps as of late last night. Good thing, I have a comfy spot in the back seat of my friends car. The card I am sharing today actually the card I’ll be swapping tomorrow morning before our event starts. My friend Stacey, was the inspiration for this card. I took an idea she had and expanded on it and made it my own. Honestly, this was the first time I used the Foxy Friends stamp set and punch! Shhh….don’t tell my man = it’s been sitting on my shelf since June!
While I am away, I’ll share with you what I can – I promise. You’ll want to make sure you like my Facebook page where I will be posting right away. I’ll try to blog what I can, but I’ll be able to share faster on Facebook. There will be lots of things I can’t share with you yet. I’m sworn to secrecy on some of the spoilers I’ll get to see this weekend. But, fear not I’ll be able to share early next week.
Changing leaves, rain, football, chick flicks, stew, chili, fires, jammies, and blankets are just a few of my favorite things. I love the deep fall colors – oranges, browns, yellows. I participated in a card swap with my Fun and Crafty group. We mail one full card to another member of our group. My card was late going out – but she will soon get it. I am so thankful for her. She has given me the push I need to brand my business. I am so grateful for to her for that.
