Last year, I was asked to present at our OnStage Local event held in Sheveport (it’s Stampin’ Up! Convention held in a regional city) using the Colorful Seasons stamp set and Seasonal Layers Thinlits. I wasn’t too fond of the set. Maybe it was the pressure of creating projects to present in front of 500 of the most talented people you can think of.
I felt like I needed a nice fall card to send out as needed over the next few weeks. So I created a clean and simple card using the Colorful Seasons suite. I cut a 1 x 4 1/4 piece of Early Espresso and layered a 1/4 inch piece of Cajun Craze underneath. I used a circle from the layering circle framelits us the Country Lane DSP. To finish out the card, I just stamped the veined leaf in Early Espresso on Early Espresso paper and die cut it and then cut the delicate leaf with Cajun Craze. I tied a cute little bow with the braided linen trim to finish it off. I have to just say the Braided Linen trim is to die for! You’ve got to stock up!!!
Update on my goal: I’m now only $258.02 away from my sales goal and two team members away! I’m telling you the excitement in reaching Silver Elite promotion is incredibly exciting and I an on pins and needles with the hopes of reaching it by September 30th!
September is beginning to be an exciting month for me! I’ve never been so close to reaching a goal before. I am so close, I can hardly sit still. There is still work to do and I can’t do it alone! I need your help.
I am so, so, so close to reaching my next promotion (to Silver Elite) in Stampin’ Up! Being Silver Elite is an honor and considered a level of leadership and a position I have been working hard to reach. September is such an important month for me to reach this goal – not just for the promotion – but the opportunities that come with obtaining the promotion at our annual convention November.
If I can reach my goal by September 30th – I’m able to attend special leadership classes and get to participate in Center Stage activities just for those who have obtained Silver Elite and higher at Walt Disney World – ALL for FREE! I can’t think of a better way to celebrate this achievement than by celebrating at the happiest place on earth!

Thanks for coming by from my wonderful friend Merit‘s blog.
It really is the most wonderful time of year – the 2018 holiday catalog is live! I love all the fun new products, Stampin’ Blend markers, tins, ribbons, stamps and Designer Series Papers. I am once again participating in our Fun n Crafty stampers blog hop and swap. It’s always fun to see what my fellow crafters create. What makes are swaps so much fun is that we all pick a different stamp set to use. Meet my fun, beachy little Santa!
For So Santa I did a few things I don’t normally do! But I just love this beachy little Santa so much. I mean, I really do feel like I should be on the beach with him right now. I used several of our new Stampin’ Blends to color in the image. To get his beard a bit lighter I used the light basic gray and then used the color lifter over that to give it a lighter look. The sand is where I really stepped up my game and tried something I have never done before.
I used our stamping emboss paste! To get the sand color – I did the first layer in Crumb Cake and the second layer in Saraha Sand. I just added a few drops of reinker to the paste and mixed it up. I took an old tooth brush and dabbed it into the paste then dabbed it on the paper. Once the paste dried – I applied Wink of Stella over it to give it a bit of shimmer!
Now, it’s time to send you off to my talented friend Jennifer’s blog!
