Fun n’ Crafty Swaps

Fun n’ Crafty Swaps

A few days ago I told you about a Fun n’ Crafty Team Card Swap that I participated in.  Today I wanted to share two cards with you that I received.  What I love about these cards is that the inside is stamped!  That’s right

August Cute Card Class

August Cute Card Class

We had so much fun at our August Cute Card Class.  We laughed, we ate, we created, and we laughed some more!  This month we had a small group – several people were out of town or not feeling well.  I am hoping to hold the August Cute Card Class again for those who missed it.  As always, we made 6 cards (2 each of 3 designs).

The first card was made with the limited time Color Your Season Bundle.  I knew that I wanted to make cards with a purple theme – good thing everyone at class loves purple just as much as me.  To be honest, I really wasn’t in love with this set.  I’m not really a flower person and looking at all of the images that’s all that I saw.  I did however love the stitched layering shapes framelits.

The first card I made with it, I used white embossing power and used Water Color Pencil Assortment #2 using the Cajun Craze, Granny Apple Green and Gorgeous Grape.  The second card I embossed the image with gold powder – and boy do I love the way it came out!

Our second card was made using the Love What You Do set and the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.  My two favorite parts of this card is the Pearlized Dollies and the Blueberry Bushel ink.

The final card was made was a fun card using the Southern Serenade stamp set.  We also used the new Gray Granite ink and card stock.  We did stamp off the lace background image two to three times depending upon the look they wanted.  We colored the flowers in with Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends (both dark and light) and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends (dark and light).

Wow – that’s a lot of hoarding!

Wow – that’s a lot of hoarding!

I spent the last two days photographing over 400 retired Stampin’ Up! items that I have been hoarding away.   I’ve created an album on my business Facebook page to shop from for my family, friends and customers.  There is also an album of miscellaneous

Wow….that’s a lot of kits

Wow….that’s a lot of kits

In my cleaning out the craft loft getting things ready for my BIG retired sale, I’m finding lots of cards kits that have just been laying around in boxes.  I spent a good part of yesterday and today putting all these kits together.  I’ve not

Life, well it’s what happens.

Life, well it’s what happens.

I can’t believe I haven’t posted in seven months.  Literally , like seven months to the day.  It’s not that I haven’t wanted to or that I haven’t had projects to share.  Life seriously just has happened – and well family always comes first.

Jackie has finished her term as the youth presiding officer for Washington Job’s Daughters.  While she is closing a chapter of her life, Ken and I are starting a chapter of our lives to become the adult presiding officers for Washington Job’s Daughters.  It’s something we believe in.  We want to teach these girls to be girls.  What does that mean – well exactly that.  To be anything they want to be – president, a lawyer, a baseball player, a mom, a teacher, an artist, anything they want to be.

I’ve also started to work with a business coach to help me with my Stampin’ Up! business.  I am just so close to making this my full time job.  I’ve got a retired Stampin’ Up! sale coming up, classes scheduled for the next few months – and I’ve actually completed several sets of cards to use over the next few weeks to send out!  I love summer break.

I can’t promise that I will be sharing everyday – but I can promise you that I am going to step up my game.  Work on a schedule and be more present online.  I’ve begun the process of a site refresh, new branding, videos, online shopping for my hoards of retired Stampin’ Up!

Life is still happening – but what I’ve decided is that I’m not going to let life stop me from living my dream.  I’m going to keep my dreams – keep moving towards my dreams – and keep living life.

Flying Home

Flying Home

With the start of a new year and trying to clean my craft space (more on that later), I’ve found that I hoard Designer Series Paper (DSP). I’ll say it again, I am a DSP hoarder. I look at all of the pretty papers with
