I spent the last two days photographing over 400 retired Stampin’ Up! items that I have been hoarding away. I’ve created an album on my business Facebook page to shop from for my family, friends and customers. There is also an album of miscellaneous stamps from other companies. This album will go public (shared to other sale site) on Sunday, 7/22. Take a look and see if there is anything that you might want to sang up for yourself! Feel free to share with your family and friends too.
In my cleaning out the craft loft getting things ready for my BIG retired sale, I’m finding lots of cards kits that have just been laying around in boxes. I spent a good part of yesterday and today putting all these kits together. I’ve not got probably 150 cards if not more ready to go! SO, if you know someone who could use a little cheer – let me know – I’ve got a card to send them. Some kits I have no idea what I had made with them. So, I think I will be adding them to the retired sale! That means there will be kits of card bases and layers – all for a super sweet deal 🙂
I can’t believe I haven’t posted in seven months. Literally , like seven months to the day. It’s not that I haven’t wanted to or that I haven’t had projects to share. Life seriously just has happened – and well family always comes first.
Jackie has finished her term as the youth presiding officer for Washington Job’s Daughters. While she is closing a chapter of her life, Ken and I are starting a chapter of our lives to become the adult presiding officers for Washington Job’s Daughters. It’s something we believe in. We want to teach these girls to be girls. What does that mean – well exactly that. To be anything they want to be – president, a lawyer, a baseball player, a mom, a teacher, an artist, anything they want to be.
I’ve also started to work with a business coach to help me with my Stampin’ Up! business. I am just so close to making this my full time job. I’ve got a retired Stampin’ Up! sale coming up, classes scheduled for the next few months – and I’ve actually completed several sets of cards to use over the next few weeks to send out! I love summer break.
I can’t promise that I will be sharing everyday – but I can promise you that I am going to step up my game. Work on a schedule and be more present online. I’ve begun the process of a site refresh, new branding, videos, online shopping for my hoards of retired Stampin’ Up!
Life is still happening – but what I’ve decided is that I’m not going to let life stop me from living my dream. I’m going to keep my dreams – keep moving towards my dreams – and keep living life.
With the start of a new year and trying to clean my craft space (more on that later), I’ve found that I hoard Designer Series Paper (DSP). I’ll say it again, I am a DSP hoarder. I look at all of the pretty papers with grand ideas and then decided they are just way to pretty to use! I am sure a lot of us are this way. So, I’ve decided that I am going to use more of my DSP in the cards that I make.
The card, I have to share with you today is a clean and simple card. The layout can be used over and over again which I love. I’m excited to use the same layout with different DSP and stamps. It’s the same Delightful Daisy DSP – just flipped to the back side and one card base is Daffodil Delight while the other is Calypso Coral.
I used the Flying Home set for one reason. It’s a great set to practice using my Stampin’ Blends alcohol based makers. I wasn’t intimidated with practicing the shading on this image.
Don’t forget Sale-A-Bration is upon us! With every $50 (pre tax and shipping) you can select an item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.

A few days ago, I shared another card using the Myth and Magic Suite. I had cut out two bases and two layers in the same cut which is something I normally do to save time and mass produce cards. This card is very simple and used the same pieces I had already cut out. I’m looking at my calendar and quickly realizing Christmas break is coming to a quick end and I have lots of new stamp sets to still play with!
The story of the birth of our Lord and Savior really is this simple. Merry Christmas from my family to you!
When I got my hands on a sneak peak copy of the 2018 Occasions catalog – I fell in love – literally fell in love with the Myths & Magic Suite. My grandkids and big kids are going to love this suite. We have a trip to Disneyland in May and to Walt Disney World in November and this set just totally makes me think of Disney – I know it’s totally random but I think of the Sorcerer’s Stone and all of the Disney magic.
For the Sorcerer I used Shimmer White paper and our new Stampin’ Blends. I love the look and the sparkle just adds to the myth of my little Sorcerer.
I did play with the Dazzling Diamonds on the poof of magic coming out of the mall ball. I had thought that I had wanted a little more sparkle than Wink of Stella. Later once my Granddaughter takes a nap, I just might make another and try it with the Wink of Stella to see which I like better.
Don’t forget that the 2018 Occasion Catalog and Sale-A-Bration starts on January 3rd!
I just love the effect of brushstroke styled imagery – its the perfect watercolor effect. I spent some time creating a few cards using a new product suite called Petal Passion. It has amazing bold brushstroke imagery and amazing sentiments. The cards I created used our notecards (a tad bit smaller than a regular card) and are clean and simple. Both could be easily mass reproduced to always have on hand when needed.
I simply used our blender pens to pick up some ink color to color the images in. I could easily do a full set of cards in various colors in no time. Don’t forget that the Petal Passion Suite will be available on January 3, 2018 along with the amazing Sale-A-Bration FREE products.
I’ve made it all the way to Christmas break! I must admit – I really need it. I’ve had this box sitting around for the last two weeks – and I have been dying to get in to it!
Part of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is being able to pre-order items from the any upcoming catalog. The 2018 Ocassions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs start on January 3rd. If you haven’t requested your copy – drop me a quick not and I’ll get you one right away!
I made a few little gift card holders for some folks at work wishing them Christmas blessings for the new year. These gift cards holders really are a quick and easy make. Just a few simple cuts of paper and a few score marks and you’ve got yourself a gift card holder.
