Tin Tile Congratulations

Okay – I am in love with this card.  We made this at my monthly card class and everyone just loved it too.  I love the Tin Tile look mixed with the subtle shimmer of the Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I can’t forget the Tranquil Tide and Blackberry Bliss color combination – its such an elegant look.

One of the fun things of this card is the different card elements – the die cut leaves and flowers, the sentiment label, the velvet ribbon, to the epoxy shapes.  It all just comes together in an amazing fashion.  The other great thing about this card is that you are literally using the small scrapes of DSP that you have laying around.  This card is a great example of being able to use this layout with multiple different embossing folders, DSP and colors.

Hello Baby

I was recently asked to make some baby shower cards for a little boy using an elephant.  I can’t remember how long it has been since I last made a baby card.  I loved using Balmy Blue for the base and Gray Granite together.  You would have never guess how long it took me to figure out which gray was the perfect gray for our baby elephant.

As I created a had a stack of little behinds on my desk and I couldn’t bring my self to just throw them away.  You see the baby elephant is part of a tag 🙂  How great is that!

So after I had made all my cards and looking at all the little behinds I knew I just couldn’t throw them away and had to use them!  So – here we go – the behind of the card!

Congratulations First Frost

Sometimes we need a little card to say congratulations to a friend.  I’ve used First Frost again to make this clean and simple congratulations card.  I’ve really come to appreciate the simplicity and how easy it is to make a card using our quality notecards and today isn’t any different.

I’ve used the Foil Edged Cards and Envelopes in gold which is not one of my go to colors.  But it’s just the perfect amount of gold on this card – especially with the shimmer on the specialty designer series paper.

IMG_20180923_162004One of the fun accents of this card is the textile elements to it.  Just behind the flagged banner is a piece of Tranquil Tide Velvet Ribbon.  What is fun about using the ribbon is it adds a subtle touch of a little something – if you know what I mean.

She believed she could.

The last few weeks have been full of emotion.  I’ve spent the most of September pushing harder than I’ve ever pushed before to reach the goal of Silver Elite.  It was a time full of ups and downs – tears and laughter – but mostly pure determination.  I had been so close before and always just missed it.  This time I wasn’t going to miss the opportunity.

I need to publicly thank several people who helped me along the way this month.

I have to first say thank you to my amazing husband.  He knew how had I wanted to earn my promotion and worked my business right beside me.  There is no way I could have done this without his support.  He has always been my biggest supporter and the best partner a girl can have.

My family – my kids, my mom, my sister – thank you for helping me with my classes, preparing orders, ordering and joining my team.  Your love and support helps to keep me going.

My customers who I choose to call family – thank you for hearing my call for help and stepping up to help me reach my goal. I certainly could not have reached my goal without your support!  You reach deep – and you provided.  THANK YOU!

To my team – WOW – you ladies are amazing!  You stretched yourselves to ensure you that you met your goals and to support me in my goals.  You are really truly amazing and I am so glad to have you as a Blessed Stamper.

My Stampin’ Up! friends  – Christine, Monica, Tanya:  You have been the ones to send me notes, texts, phone calls, and kept me focused on my goals.  When I felt discouraged – you reminded me that I could and I would do it.  Thank you for being my sisters.

My Business Advisor Felecia:  I was blessed with an amazing opportunity to work with you.  Thank you for helping break my goals down – keeping me focused on each step.  But, mostly for being the cheerleader I needed!

I am excited to head off to Orlando in November to participate in our 30th convention called OnStage and to be able to attend Centre Stage which will be held at Epcot Center!  I am excited to learn from some amazing leaders.  I want to continue to grow and share what I have learned with my customers and team.

Thank you again for all the love and support that you have given me and will continue to give me!

Wishing You the Best First Frost

I have to admit that I wasn’t the biggest fan of the First Frost stamp set when I first laid my hands on the amazing 2018 Holiday Catalog. After I was able to sit down and play with the stamps, dies and paper – it has quickly become a favorite – especially the Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper (but more about that later).

I’ve got another clean and simple card for you today. The card base is the Silver Foil-Edged Cards and Envelope and the sprigs are cut from the Black Foil Paper. A little tip is to use the sentiment strip as a guide to stamp the vine. Don’t forget to move the sentiment strip before you stamp! Then stamp another set of vines on the sentiment strip itself.

Goal Update: I am still working hard to reach my goal of Silver Elite. If I am successful in meeting my goal by September 30th, I’ll be recognized at our 30th Anniversary OnStage (our Convention) for reaching the promotion I will be able to attend a separate Leadership session – plus if that wasn’t enough I will be showered with gifts and get to spend a day being pampered at Centre Stage (our leadership level celebration event and training) being held at Epcot Center in Walt Disney World! I’m $1,112.58 from achieving an annual sales recognition goal at OnStage and still looking for a few new folks to join our Blesses Stampers team.

Frosted Floral Seasonal Cheer

I recently attend a Crafty Retreat with several members of our larger group the Fun n’ Crafty Stampers.  What fun, we had!  But, I have to tell you what happens at Crafty Escape Weekend stays at Crafty Escape Weekend 🙂  What I can tell you is we craft, and craft, and well we craft some more, have lots of naughty snacks, lots and lots of laughs and stay up having the best escape!

While we are at crafty escape we made several make and takes.  I’d like to share with you this wonderfully simple seasonal cheer card.  This is a fabulous card to send for either Christmas or the New Year.

Goal Update: I’m getting closer everyday to reaching Silver Elite.  It’s an amazing feeling – yet still very humbling.  I’d love to have you join my team of Blessed Stampers or if you would love order some fun product you can shop my store.  I’m $1,288.58 from achieving an annual sales recognition goal at OnStage and still looking for a few new folks to join our Blesses Stampers team.

Simple Dashing Deer

I can’t believe Christmas is just around the corner – which mean it’s time to get going on those Christmas cards.  I’ve added three Christmas only classes to my calendar – so make sure to take a look and add them to your calendar!  One of the cards we will be making at Tuesdays class is this simple but elegant Dashing Deer card.  My favorite parts of this card is the piece of Swirls and Curls Textured Embossing Folder and the Berry Burst Metallic Ribbon.  I also used the Champagne Foil for the little bit of sparkle.

I’m also still working hard to reach my goal of promoting to Silver Elite.  I am still asking for your support with orders and joining my team.  I have faith that I will be able to reach my goal by September 30th with the help of my family, customer and friends.

I have plenty more to share over the next week.  I spent some time at a crafty weekend and spent lots of time crafting and creating some projects to share in class over the next few weeks.

A little Southern Serenade

This set has quickly become a favorite stamp set of mine.  Most of my stampers know that I am not a lover of flower images.  I’ve used this layout before by adding a simple sentiment to the card.  This time, I just did a simple card while I video chatted with my out of state grand daughter who was making her own card.  It was so much fun to craft with her at the same time.

I really do love how simple this card is.  I am going to do another set with maybe yellow flowers!  Fall is here now in the Pacific Northwest but this card let’s get to spring just a little quicker!

Nothing Sweeter than Christmas

When I receive the 2018 Holiday Catalog – weeks ago (that’s a perk of being a Demonstrator!!!!) I fell in love with the suite Nothing Sweeter.  To be honest, it isn’t my first choice for a Christmas card – but it is my first choice to use for all types treat boxes, treat bags, and tags!  So to get a little card inspiration, I CASE’d (Copy and Share Everything) this little card out of the 2018 Holiday Catalog.

I did two card bases at first.  The first card I stamped off the snowflakes first giving it a lighter look and the second base I did, I just stamped at full strength.  I loved the look at the full strength Pool Party snowflakes.  They other thing, I really like about this card is that it is not traditional Christmas colors.
